More specifically, has anyone read the GAFT book on color management:

A good or bad opinios on this title? It was published in 2000.
This is by Richard Adams and Joshua Weisberg. It's a good overview. You'll also
find useful material in books by Bruce Fraser, Martin Evening and others, not to
mention my own 'Understanding Digital Color' (also GATF).
For a more technical reference, look out for 'Colour Engineering', to be
published by Wiley in the next week or so.
There are numerous web sites that cover colour management, many of which you can
find in the URLs of people who post on this list. Tony Johnson, who is Technical
Secretary of the ICC and runs the 'Ask Tony' page on the ICC web site, has
prepared an FAQ of common problems and answers. This is currently being reviewed
by ICC members and should be published on the ICC site (www.color.org) shortly.
