Subject: engine convertion photoshop 7?
Hello,
I am new in this list,
and we have just install photoshop 7 and
we have been using the heidelberg engine
for the color conversion to cmyk in 6,
and now I am lost,
which one of all this engines will have similar results?
Why are you using one of the worst known CMMs?
Why not use the Adobe (ACE) CMM or the Apple CMM?
No other CMM will have similar results because most other CMMs do not
have the bugs present in the Heidelberg CMM.
and my other inquire is
we use the old gamma application to fine tune the monitor after
caracterization, that allows to save different previews,
NO! You do NOT fine tune the display after profiling.
You characterize the display and then LEAVE IT ALONE.
If the preview isn't good - then that means that your profile isn't
good or you are using the wrong options.
(the paper white one was not good for us)
for different papers,
is there anything like this (or better)available for OS X?
No.
Chris
