Our preliminaries with the Roland FJ500 using both the Roland
ColorChoice v4.1.1 and (Scanvec-Amiable) PhotoPrint v2.6.1 RIPs
allowed a variety of fair visual screen and rosette results, but we
haven't done enough work (profilewise, dot gain etc.) on that end to
pull up the accuracy. The dot placement is definitely there.
We viewed some results from Best ScreenProof in conjunction with the
FJ500 which were quite impressive, which is why our screenproofing is
still in the work-in-progress folder, but I would hesitate to put it
up against the Kodak Approval, etc...
The cost of an FJ500 and ScreenProof alone puts it up there in cost.
It's not cheap. Should be interesting to see if we can bring the
results up...;0)
