Yes your "reds" describe his situation quite well!
In his case he was operating without color management, IOW, his Adobe Gamma
profiled monitor was his working space and he was not tagging his files.
When he got Photocal he made Adobe RGB his working space, profiled his
Studio Display with PhotoCal and now nothing he does allows him to display a
red in PS.
So far it would seem the Spyder is the the only common thread between our
situations, considering he is on a different platform, computer, and
monitor. What were you using for your working space and to profile your
monitor before this occurred? Did it completely coincide with profiling your
monitor with the Spyder? I surely doubt it would be a cross platform bug,
but what else is there to go on?
