Hey guys. I've been told by many experts that the Epson print heads are
actually 360 dpi devices, and that any file sent to an Epson printer
that's higher-resolution than 360 dpi will get interpolated down. The
reason the machines are called 1440 or 2880 dpi is that they are able to
smooth out each of the 360 dots into more dots for sharpness, but they
can't print image detail at a higher resolution than 360 pixels per
inch.
So, I believe that the way to get the sharpest and most detailed
possible print from any Epson printer is to send it a 360 dpi file.
Does anyone have any information that suggests that's wrong?
