If you had been using your monitor profile as your working space (or are now), that could cause the problem.
Use a stock Photoshop working space in Photoshop. Build a good monitor profile. Then you should be one your way. Try a neutral gray ramp in Photoshop and print it.
If this clears things up then I suspect you have a raft of legacy images based on your monitor profile.... or perhaps not.....
