Once Photoshop 7 is available you will be able to do this; in the mean time
any carbon imaging application, like the shareware Graphic Convertor, could
be used to get your images into the OS X printflow.

You need to put them into the ColorSync folder in the Library folder on your
drive, not into the System. OS X does not want you putting things in the
System, and in many ways this is a very good idea...
