Itis possible to *emulate* line screens up to about 133 lpi on current
generation inkjets... but generally when someone wants to see the dots they
want to see the *real* dots, which means being able to grab the imagesetter
seperations; but then what do you do with them; since the ink colors and
dotgain etc... are not the same, and so the dots would offer accurate dot
proofing (for monten moire etc) but not accurate color proofing. High priced
software that can import imagesetter seps usually proceeds to recon it to
offer injet dithered proofs, not halftone dot proofs.
