Hi Joel,
We've been using the ImagePrint RIP from ColorByte Software for several
months now in our digital imaging lab and are very pleased with it. The
ink dithering is the 'best' I've ever seen and is ideally suited for "Art
Print" output. Although we don't have an Epson 9000, we do get excellent
results from the Epson 5500 and 1280 printers that are driven via the RIP.
The canned profiles provided by ColorByte are very good, but we've gotten
even better results with custom profiles. The folks at ColorByte are great
and have agreed to let us switch to the new MacOS version as soon as we're
ready for it.
