I am running an Epson 3000, and would like to find a way to get
semi-accurate color out of it. The biggest problem I am having is getting

You can get halfway decent results by profiling the printer and using
Praxisoft's CompassProXT or ICC Autoflow. If you use Autoflow +
Vector Pro you can do some real good spot color matching, especially
by hand tweaking any problem colors, but the cost is getting up there.
