Doesn't this all seem reminiscent of ColorSync v2.6? Remember the VCLUTs
could be set to one profile in the Display control panel but Photoshop at
that point referenced the "system profile" which could be set to something
completely different?
Now it appears Photoshop is NOT looking at the ColorSync control Panel at
this point but at the Display control panel. Backwards from what was
happening in OS 8.x and ColorSync v2.6.
Odd. Maybe Photoshop 7 is not behaving correctly as it should really look to
the ColorSync control panel, no?
Just like in OS 9, OS X supports multiple monitors and separate ICC profiles
for each display. I wonder if Photoshop 7 (or even 6) recognizes the
different monitor profiles for each display if it is now looking at each the
display control panel instead of the "Display Profile" in OS X.
I thought this stuff was supposed to get easier?
