I am responding to:
"Not being an expert on this topic myself, I was hoping someone more
knowledgeable could tell me what I'm missing here...
Can digital photographic printers using a chemistry process be reliably
profiled?" - Andy
"They sure can!" Regards, Roger Breton

My comment is:
All this talk of profiling makes me nervous. If you guys are talking
about putting battery acid, creosote and fingerpaint
into inkjet cartridges I might be interested. What exactly is a
chemical process digital photographic printer?<<<
I believe Andy was referring to digital printers which expose photographic paper, which subsequently is developed in photographic chemicals. The chemicals are not in the printer, and no ink is involved.
