What rip are you currently using and what is the printer?
I dont have a complete picture of your setup but here
are a few tips I have learned recently.
My understanding is that there currently are two ways to
work with grayscale images and then send them to a
quad black printer. ONe is to use a Cone Editions
plugin and the other is to use a utility /rip by Colorbyte
software. Each of these tools was designed for the
quad black workflow.
