This thread reminds me of the thread about dongled RIPs, which seemed to conclude that the dongles were innocuous little pieces of hardware that never caused a problem.

If this sort of idiotic and unnecessary failure of critical systems were happening to my business because some pinheaded developer thought he should treat his customers as criminals, I would be very close to going postal.

I guess that there has been a sea-change, and users are now willing to turn around and bend over rather than stand up to vendor abuse.

the November 4 PM 4.1 doesn't correct this, and I cannot find a similar
fix for iQueue on the Gretag FTP server. Does anybody know what to do
about this?

I got this from the Gretag support folks yesterday.

The Work-around for the OSX.2 and PM4.x Hasp problem:

ProfileMaker 4.x HASP4 and the Eye-One device -

Drivers for both the ProfileMaker 4.x HASP4 and the Eye-One device need to
be loaded separately for each application in OSX.2.

ProfileMaker 4.x HASP4 -

There should be a new driver posted on the GretagMacbeth web site within the
next few weeks.

Step 1:- Start OS X without dongle
Step 2:- - reinstall dongle driver
Step 3:- - Hot plug dongle (should work)
Step 4:- - at next restart, repeat steps 1 to 3.
