We've just got an Epson 2100, and I've only had a little play with it. BTW:
the 2100 is identical to the 2200, its just re-branded in Australia and UK
as 2100 for some reason. We haven't got a RIP yet that works with it. We are
going to use BEST PhotoXposure, which is apparently going to support the
Epson 2100 very, very soon. I've been told BEST ColorProof already does
support it. We're just waiting for the same update for PhotoXposure.
So far the output from it seems pretty good and fast going through Quickdraw
RGB from a Mac. It also has a firewire and USB 2.0 interface for really fast
throughput. It has lots of promise as a proofing device but we're yet to get
it working with a RIP.
The one disappointing thing is that you have to use a different black ink
for matte and photo stocks. When you pull one cartridge out to put in the
other, you apparently lose quite a lot of ink. Does anyone out there know if
there is another ink you can use with the 2100/2200 where you don't have to
do this?

The Epson site shows a RIP for the 2200, any thoughts about that, or a
