I have been doing some tests to see if I can get Gimp to output properly
using
it's "raw CMYK' option. If I could make it work one could make custom CMYK
profiles generating K however you like, and also develop custom
workflows for
alternative ink sets like quads. Can someone more knowledgeable than I
answer
Robert's question below? Can Photoshop generate CMYK postscript?
I'm afraid I know nothing about postcript generation, but I know I can
output CMYK from Photoshop.
If it would work, Gimp would be enormously useful, postscript too.
Did I say "free"?
