I'll have to tell Greg Gorman who output about 100 or so 3 foot by 5 foot
prints made for his last few shows (and run with IP under OS9) this. He's
running multiple machines under OS9 and printing with IP on all (using an
iMac as the server). Not without warts as you put it but certainly working
on a daily basis driving a 9600 to print some pretty huge files and prints.
The OSX beta is looking real good. I drove a 7600 yesterday at the DIFP
(Digital Imaging for Photographers) show in Atlanta. The install was quick
and easy and off we went. I expect the golden version should be available
very soon.
