You seem to be under the impression that the settings in the ColorSync
control panel govern your color conversions. Most workflows don't use these
settings for anything, unless you choose "ColorSync Workflow" in Photoshop,
which wouldn't be my recommendation. What you need to be satisfied with
prints froms scans is a monitor you trust (ideally hardware monitor
calibration) so you can edit to look as desired on screen (this eliminates
the more complex solution of using scanner profiling) and a printer profile
you trust (ideally a spectro built custom profile) for the printer, which can
be applied at print time. ColorSync need not be used directly for any of
this.
