The EyeOne measures D50 Lab.
If you convert your measurements to D65, I suspect you'll get a* and
b* values pretty close to zero.
How do I do this conversion? Is it available in the software?
Thanks for the help.
I don't think there's anything in the EyeOne software that will let
you do the conversion, but Bruce Lindbloom almost certainly has a
calculator at www.brucelindbloom.com that will...
Great resource! The a and b values after conversion to D65 were
very close to 0. Average delta a was .46, average delta b was .32.
Thanks for clearing this up!
My only other question would be about the luminosity values and
why they are off. I ran into something similar when I got a profile
made for my Nikon LS4000 and it turned out to be related to using
absolute or perceptual rendering intent.
Bruce Lindbloom is indeed a great resource!
The luminosity values are, I think, relative to the EyeOne's
reference white. I wouldn't worry as long they track your desired
gamma fairly closely.
