On an Apple 17" LCD....
I slid the L shaped plastic piece on the cord all way down by the round weight
on the end (and removed the suction cups). The cord is soft plastic and didn't
slide around on the top of the monitor. Without that plastic piece between the
cord and the monitor it would lay flat against the screen.
As far as the actual calibration is concerned I'm afraid I can't
help. My prints
still don't look like my monitor.
I spoke with a professional portrait photographer recently about
color management.
He is very successful and takes beautiful photos, but he is NOT a
color expert (and doesn't
want to be one). He said he had endless headaches (as I have) until
he purchased a LaCie
electron 19blue III monitor and the blue eye calibration tool. If
anyone has an opinion
regarding this recommendation I would be interested in hearing it
