The AbsCol Render Intent is working well in Best Colorproof, but I saw
very often, that Optical Brightners in the papers (Offset and Inkjet)
confusing the Measurement Device. I.e. your paper looks yellow, but
the Lab Value is 95_1_(-5) and this is Blue. You find a little
Application on our CD (inside Tools and Ohters) called WPE or you can
download it from
http://www.bestcolor.com/forums/showthread.php?s=718ecf505ffb3738ee1e2
9e1124c2652&threadid=1554 . If you load your Reference profile and
Paper Profile into this Application you can compare and edit the
PaperWhitePoint of both Profiles (please use AbsCol for edit).
The WP of both Profiles has to be different in a and b if you want see
a Colordifference.
