Hi,
The best way with iProof is to select force colour settings in the
(final) iProof interface, after you've saved the Postscript file. This
should also guarantee no double corrections and override any other
software.
Hope this helps,
Christian

Subject: iProof's PowerRIP 2000 v 6.x
Hi all.
I need some advice to find the right setting to make reasonable color
proofs
with iProof's PowerRIP 2000 v 6.x, Quark XPress 4.11 and a Epson
Styles
Photo 1270. On the composite printer I (mostly) want to simulate the
separation printer.
I think the RGB profile is in PowerRIP 2000 and in LaserWriter 8
always
the
monitor profile.
The CMYK profile can be the composite printer or separation profile.
I'm
not
sure what setting is right in the next cases:
- Printer Setting in PowerRIP 2000 Setup Printing;
- Printer Profile in LaserWriter 8 printer dialog box Color Matching;
- CMYK Source in LaserWriter 8 printer dialog box Printer Specific
Options
1.
An other question is what color matching method must be chosen in the
LaserWriter 8 printer dialog box Print Color: ColorSync Color
Matching,
Color/Grayscale or PostScript Color Matching.
And finally I don't now if the settings in the LaserWriter 8 Printer
dialog
box are the same if colormanagment in Quark XPress 4.11 is active or
it
isn't active.
I hope to receive your common,
Maarten van der Spek.
Until I know, you must to turn OFF, the CM option to print from Quark
4xx.
Evem if you use a RIP.
And setup only in the RIP (RIP printer driver) the color management
options.
Quark 5xx could be a different history.
Luck,
