I was the one who posted "safe raw" driver for the 7700. It's actually a PPD not a driver. If anyone wants it I'm more than happy to send it. We found that without this PPD we could not generate reliable profiles.
It doesn't deactivate Fiery but rather prevents Fiery from changing the color data. The way I understand it your data is being converted to RGB and then back to CMYK. With this "SAFE RAW" you can send CMYK data to the printer without it being converted.
Also as others have stated there are 2 main things that cause laser printers to drift and they are heat and humidity. You need to keep temp and humidity stable.
