Thanks for the many off list responses. Wow.

My problem turned out to be a known and fixed bug when using PS 7.01 with Profile city's ICC Display version 2.0. The solution was to get version 2.1 which, by the way, gave me/us the best darn looking monitors I have ever seen in my shop. I have two color critical monitors and they now look closer than they ever have before. One monitor is old and a bit so so. The software (2.1) is very good.

This is also what I have found about the Nikon D1xh
100. If you shoot in Adobe RGB mode, Photoshop reports it is sRGB, this is a bug in the EXIF standard which only allows sRGB or "Other" " If you don't Color Manage" when you open a file and then "Assign Profile" to Adobe RGB or your custom profile this is the way to go. Adobe has released (three days ago) a plug in to help make this easier.

Many thanks again for all the help
