Opinions on Don Hutcheson's high end targets?

Has someone successfully used and would recommend the transparencies
targets that Don Hutcheson is making out of Fujichrome Velvia?

As a photographer, I have shot mostly Velvia and the slides have another
tonal and density range than the Ektachrome target that I now use for
profiling my scanner. Using a calibration software has been such an
improvement over my former way of scanning that if Don's targets do make
a difference on darker and more saturated slides, I think I would make
the jump, but at that price, it HAS to make a difference! Thanks for
your input!
