I disagree with both of these comments. RIPS that do this include GMG
Dotproof, Best Screenproof, Blackmagic, etc. Although it may be less of an
issue in some markets, it is not in others - for example Flexo or newspaper.

I believe that this once again is an example of different needs. We have
many clients who print furniture catalogs, for whom the HP5000 does not have
high enough quality.

Yes, it is difficult, but that is not an issue of the RIP, rather the
resolution of the printing device. With the Epson 7/9600, the results are
getting much better.

Maybe Ulf would like to comment here regarding the amount of effort invested
by Best in the last year in developing and (of course) marketing
Screenproof.

By the way, you don't need dotproofing to see trapping and overprints. The
raster file will do fine.
