Bottom line: Make sure both parties fully understand and agree to the test
conditions beforehand. I don't think you are at that point yet. Yours should
be an absolute color matching test, not a Pantone color matching test, IMO.

The only problem being that to get the client to understand and accept these facts will probably require a great deal more remedial education work than the job could possibly be worth....

Which is why I recommended walking away.
