Some additional info, I edited the white point, L to 100 and a & b to
zero but this had no effect. The whites in the file still get hit with a
lot of color.

Must have something to do with the profile being a scanner profile but
not sure what is causing this behavior.

Also, once I assign the profile that matches the best I will be
converting to Adobe RGB for printing.

I am using Photoshop 6 and Adobe ACE for converting, but as I stated in
my first post the whites pick up the unwanted color simply by assigning
the profile.
