The problem is some of the color cannot be reproduced
on a printer like "blue turns purple" and the color is very
dull especially red color. I know that this is due to the small
color gamut.
How can I solve this? Wondering is there any software that
can enlarge the gamut or change some of the colors in the
profiles?

As far as editing ICC profiles generated by PrintOpen, there are a number of
other apps that could help you using methods other than visually. I hear
that Newcolor v2 for OSX is out already. There is always ProfileMaker,
Monaco Profiler, ColorBlind, Fuji ColourKit and a few others.
Before fiddling with the profiles, maybe it's better to invest in a tool
that will build you good profiles froom the get go. What's wrong with the
profiles you generate with PrintOpen?
