My images have an embedded profile of Adobe 1998 which appears in the
Source Space area however under Print Space I can no longer choose
Printer Color Management, which I could when using OS9.2.
Looks like a bug. No matter what I have Page Setup set to for a
document, or what the default printer is set to, I only see a
PostScript Color Management option in Photoshop 7.01 on OS X. Can
anyone else confirm?
On another note: I think Mac OS X is doing the wrong thing when it
comes to how it handles Page Setup. When I have a document setup in
Page Setup for XYZ printer, but the last printer I used was ABC printer
- the print dialog that appears is for ABC printer. This makes no sense
and is annoying. If I'm going to go to the trouble of formatting a
document for printer XYZ, the print dialog should automatically reflect
this.
Is there a different selection which replaced Printer Color Management
or
perhaps a better way to work.
Select the appropriate profile for the printer, media, and resolution
instead. Then in the print dialog itself, make sure to go into "Color
Management" and check the Do Not Color Adjust radio button.
