If I could hijack this thread with another i1 question, is anyone
successfully using a profile produced in i1 Match on a tibook? I've
got the latest OSX and i1 match updates but I'm still getting the
"square effect" that Gretag was aware of but says is now dealt with.
They were going to send me the beta of v. 2 but now say the beta
isn't ready for release (?)

Question 1:
I want to build a monitor profile based on Gamma 2.2 using EyeOne
Match 3.1. The only options available to me concerning Gamma within
Match are "Windows Standard" and "Macintosh Standard" - so I choose
"Windows", right? Just checking.
Yes , the preferred choice is Windows 2.2 Gamma.
Question 2:
Also, what does it mean when you get a message when building a printer
profile:
"The profile check resulted in some devations.
if you decide to continue please test the profile
before you use it in production."
That's because the printer has probably over inked or not hit the reasonable
tolerance on the print out. This can be due to linearisation (nonexistent )
or incorrect settings for the print out.
The i1 will read fine, it's just the expected results are off compared to
the actual print out.
