I9ve used the OPTIX and the i1 Display plus the i1 Pro spectro. If there are
differences between the profiles for the two Gretag devices then they are
small. Separating out the OPTIX would be difficult. When you aim for the
same result all three produce very similar results. The Gretag products give
the user the benefit of calibrating to a native white point and a broader
range of gamma values. They also have an upgrade path to full i1Photo inside
the box - of course more $9s required. At the price point i1 Display will
sell for this is pretty darned good. So, at present, if I had to make a
choice between the i1 Display and the OPTIX I9d choose i1 Display. I9ve not
used the high end Monaco software (I9d like to :-) ) so things might be
different there. i1Match 29s display calibration is better than 1.3 by a
country mile. It is also better than PMPro 4.1.1!

A serialised diffusion dome is part of the equation. It works well, but it9s
a bugger to get out of it9s case/shell ;-)
