The Eye-One Pro never had profiling software, that would be Eye-One MATCH.
Eye-One Match allowed you to create both RGB and CMYK profiles, albeit in a
very simplified wizard-driven fashion.
They've now split Match into two products: Eye-One Photo (RGB only) and
Eye-One Publish (RGB and CMYK profiling). Publish is effectively what Match
used to be.
Regarding Eye-One Display going to a colorimeter device (and yes, it is a
Sequel device). I was under the assumption that, while a CRT could be
profiled well with a colorimeter, I though LCDs benefited by using a spectro
(Eye-One Monitor device)? Is this not the case? Personally, I'd still like
to see GM carry the Eye-One Monitor spectro as a step-up from the Eye-One
Display colorimeter. I've had one for a few months now and have never gotten
better profiles, especially compared to my arachnid device. ;-)
