I just had to respond to this as I have both a frontier and a Lightjet.
For better or worse the Frontier is locked into an srgb working space.
If this is the only device you are printing to then edit in srgb. My
experience is that the vast majority of digital cameras work just fine
in srgb. other color spaces just create more image editing in Photoshop.
If the particular camera manufacturer wants you to use a specific color
space then try it. As far as the light jet is concerned adobe1998 is ok.
We use a custom space. The real trick is to get profiles of both
printers that have been optimized for soft proofing. Get the set up the
lab recommends and soft proof the image and color correct as needed.
Find out from the lab if they want the conversions done by you or not.
If you and the lab do your parts you should get great prints from the
Light Jet or the Frontier. If everything is done right you should be
able to get an 8x10 from the Frontier and a 20x30 from the Light Jet
that are a real good match.
