I just recently profiled an EPSON 10000 fronted by a Kodak Polychrome
Graphics v2.5 Matchprint RIP (basically a BEST Colorproof RIP in KPG
clothings). I have not had much success with the CFM, no. That RIP does
accept custom ICC profiles but it process them through the CFM Control
panel. They say that RIP will not work without that CFM!
What I ended up doing, to gain speed (because the CFM conversion is sooooo
loooonnngg), is color management on the host, in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe
InDesign and Adobe Photoshop. That works really well.
