monitors and LCDs

Just a quick note to those spending a fair amount of time in front of a computer doing image work. The health benefits of the LCD monitors in reducing eye strain are well worth the extra cost. In terms of color work, a profiled monitor gets very close to the destination output, as does using proof setup in Photoshop, but in the end nothing bets a hard proof and the use of the eye dropper in Photoshop with the info palate.

I recently moved to an LCD and will never go back. My health is more important than any shade of cyan.
