Does anyone know of a way to calibrate an LCD to closely resemble a
calibrated CRT?
I use Eye-One Match to calibrate my CRT. I recently purchased a second
monitor (20" Apple Cinema Display) and I want it to match my CRT as
closely as possible. However, when I calibrate it, it doesn't even look
close. Customer support told me that I just had to take it and like it.
A colleague of mine has the same setup, but uses Optical. He is able to
create a "target file" from his calibrated "target" CRT and use that
target file to calibrate his LCD. Bingo! The two look almost the same.
Anyone know of a way to do this with Eye-One Match?
Thanks,
David
Monaco told me that you can only calibrate one monitor in the dual
monitor setup unless you have two cards. At the time I thought they
were wrong but then discovered they were right, I think. Worse you do
not have any choice which one is the calibrated one. It is always your
start up monitor. You have to switch them around if you wish to
calibrate them both. Since I only use one to futz with my photos, I
did not purse this very hard and could be wrong about the above. I use
Mac OS X 10.2.6
