Actually, I modified the Reomve Profile AppleScript that ships with ColorSync and added a couple of lines to note the modification date before modifying the file and then set the modification date to that value at the end, and it works. But it apparently uncompresses LZW-compressed TIFFs in the process, because the files become megabytes larger.
