Since the Pictrography does not have (and therefore, will not deliver) the
larger gamut that Colormatch or Adobe98 color spaces have, editing while
using softproof is the only correct method. (And, that's exactly the
function of "softproof."

PS - "Command Y" to use softproof does come easy and natural after a day or
two.
