HI Rob,
I'm on a the low rung of expertise on this list, however, I have a setup
similar to yours and will share my experience. I just got the 2200, use
colorsync, and the color is just great.
Maybe I just got lucky with this, or maybe it's because I upgraded
everything this year and that's made the difference.
I have (all new this year) -
Olympus C 5050
NEC MultiSync FP912 monitor
One-Eye monitor calibration system
Epson 2200 with Epson inks and Epson Professional Matte paper
I also use a Mac4 with OSX.3.1
I edit in Photoshop 7 using the Eye-One calibration for the profile.
With this setup it's the first time I haven't been in a color mess. Since
it's doing so well using Colorsync, I use it exclusively. All I can do is
thank the gods (many of whom are on this list) for their hardware
suggestions. Maybe I got lucky, got the right combination of things that
talk to each other and it's working.
