good looks... i'll give it a shot. as for the monitor
profile, it's on the factory setting for DP930
(mistubishi)--does this do me any good?--what does the
expensive calibration software do? and what of
scanning, importing? is colorsync no good for that
either?

i hope you don't mind, i have even more questions...

if my exposed slides are fugi, but i make my scanner
profile from a kodak target slide, am i not getting
what i would be getting had i used a fugi target
slide (assuming they exist)? if yes, how can i get a
fugi slide (or even better targets... or is the one
that came with the scanner specifically made for it)?

and i have a question about poor still image quality
with final cut express--if anyone can help with this,
i'd be forever greatful.
