Color management and HTML

All this talk about Safari and color management has me thinking about the
broader issue...

What's the latest thinking on using HTML image tags to associate profiles on
a server to the browser for color management? I know, I know, download
time, but hey, broadband makes this a more reasonable suggestion than
before!
