What display and does this effect other makes, is there a list of displays
that "crash and burn"?

I don't have a list, nor is basICColor likely to provide one (they haven't in the past, anyway). They did not tell me about this before I purchased (although I asked, very specifically), and afterwards they promised there would be a fix soon. It's been many months, and the last e-mail from them implied lack of further interest on their part.

The display I referred to is the Formac 22800, a clone of the Mitsu 22" CRT.
