Chris, Andrew,

They are untagged because EXIF/DCF doesn't support profile embedding,
strictly speaking. There are some workarounds, but this is the basic problem. And the
colorspace specifiers allow only sRGB or uncalibrated. The latest EXIF/DCF
allows a convoluted method of specifing AdobeRGB, but unfortunatley, the method
falls far short of allowing profile embedding. Its a bummer.

The camera manufacturers just don9t do it. They supply some EXIF data (if
sRGB). I can't tell you why they don't but it's a drag and the colorspace is
known (you the user have to set it) but not carried with the file (excluding
EXIF data which can be set to "none" which isn't helpful).
