I'm currently playing with tagged and untagged images in rgb and CMYK .tif
files made from Oli no moiri.
Seems to me that Text Edit works for (more often than not) rgb but not
display rendering for CMYK. With and without profiles the displayed images
in CMYK are inconsistently rendered. Sometimes the untagged images take on
the default that has been set to different profiles varying from newsprint
to Iris 4012 yet not generic. Safari is missing on some images dragged into
new windows too. Seems that the images are being cached somewhere if that's
possible as the images display always as the first rendering even after
changing the Colorsync prefs (Panther).
Finding it hard to rely on anything other than Photoshop for screen previews
and assurance of conversions.
