color editing space

Andrew, and Bruce: How does the gamut of the profile called "Flextight" in the Flextight scanner software compare to Adobe 1998, ColorMatch RGB, sRGB or any other color editing space? I don't own a Flextight, however a friend of mine does and he uses the flextight embedded profile.

Another question. Is not the profiled monitor a smaller gamut than a printer profile, say a printer like the Epson 9600 with Ultrachrome inkset? How about the Epson 10000 with the pigmented inkset?

I am probably wrong, but I thought the monitor gamut was the smallest gamut. I also thought sRGB was basically monitor gamut.

Thanks.
