We think that Profiler Pro could be a good choice (what is your advice on

this?). Another solution would to buy an old version of Profilmaker (3.15)

ProfilerPro makes very good RGB output profiles but the reason I ask about
the software is that some products are able to deal with UV without the
filter at all. ProfilerPro isn9t one but ProfileMaker Pro 4.1 is. The debate
is still on but I9ve been making quite a lot of profiles the last year
without any UV filtration and seeing about 20% of the time, ProfileMaker Pro
will pop it9s little 3UV2 check box (indicating it has found values that
cause it to believe there are UV issues) and I9ve yet to have any problems
with the resulting profiles. GretagMacbeth actually recommends not using a
filter.
I9m not impressed (yet) with the RGB output profiles I9ve made with ColorKit
and it doesn9t have any provisions for detecting UV. I9m biased! But for
this time being, nothing I9ve worked with gives me the quality AND user set
of tools and options of ProfileMaker Pro. If you can get 3.1.5 and a
reasonable upgrade (you DO want 4.1.1), I9d go that route.
