The client uses Quark 4.1 (8 workstations) and are not interested in either

color servers or Compass Pro XT's.

Is there any way to integrate a profile in this RIP and save it as a custom

simulation?

Anyone?
The Fiery has to include the ColorWise module, which is a kind of color
server. His job is to do color transformations. Those RIPs have a console
called Command Workstation running in a PC, ask for it. In the main window
in the Command Workstation software you'll see a kind of switch to enter to
the module "Calibration" or something like that. You will be asked for the
admin password.
Once inside, you have three or four buttons wher you can download the
profiles of each kind, and perform the default workflow and apply it to
"simulations".
Before dowloading the profiles, first you have to linearize the paper with
the copier glass or a DTP32 (better) and apply it to a named list .
After that you have to print the IT8 chart or whatever chart you use turning
off the simulation. (In the command workstation module you can turn off any
color convert default option once the postcript has been received)
Do your profile as usual and download it within the color module mentioned
before.
Follow the dialog boxes , I trust you'll get the idea
good luck
Hope it help
