We have been using profiles on our EverSmart Supreme for some time with
good results except with reflective work, where we continually see
problems in blues and blue/violets. We have re-profiled the reflective
target several times and each time the profile exhibits no anamolies in
the profile software (ColorTune 4.1). Upon reading "Real World Color
Management" and their suggestions for evaluating profiles we have seen
what appears to be a major problem in our reflective scanner profile.
Using the Granger tool we see a large "green hole" in the blues and blue
violets. We have run diagnostics on the scanner, re-checked the
reference file, double- checked that the scanner settings are as
described by Don Hutcheson in his scanning guide and re-scanned the Q-60
several times using different CMM's and different rendering intents -
all with very little change. Where else should we look?
Thanks,
Ray Landis
