I've run a lot of visual tests to find the best gamma for photography going
to print or photo prints to be at least 2.2 or slightly higher as Bruce
Lindbloom has always said. So as not to upset the balance on uncalibrated
web images, I leave it at 2.2 even if there is some benefit in having just a
bit more. This is of course dependant on your particular monitor/video card
what will produce the best likeness on screen.
